What is it all about?
Every year, documentary producers from all across Europe (and the world) have a unique chance to enroll in Eurodoc program. The program aims at networking, broadening views and expanding producers’ knowledge on different topics. It offers participants a chance to learn from some of the most prominent experts in the field of documentary films. The learning program consists of three sessions which take place in different European countries. Finally, after 10+ years, Eurodoc decided to organize one of the sessions in Croatia. Moreover, it contacted us for help in location scouting for the perfect venue for a 2020 summer session.
We were tasked with location scouting and event management of both formal and informal parts of the Croatian session. Also, with organizing the documentary films night for inhabitants of the chosen town and their guests from all over the world. The aim of the location scouting was to find a venue that can host 50 documentary producers. Furthermore, it was supposed to offer classrooms and state of the art technical equipment. And, lastly, it had to offer Eurodoc participants time to relax and a good time after the classes end.
We did some brainstorming, research, phone calls and scheduling. Afterwards, we packed our bags and off we went to meet a client and travel around! If you like to travel, you have to love it! Our journey began in magic Istria, and ended in picturesque Međimurje. Traveling around and tasting local food and drinks was an easy task. The hardest part came after the location scouting ended. Together with the client we needed to pick a venue and all of them were beautiful, equipped and had so much to offer.
Pssssst! We still can’t tell you which one was chosen, however, we are soooo looking forward to 2020 and Croatian sesssion. More news to come any time soon, stay tuned.
